Background

Lamu Women Empowerment Network (LAWEN) is a women-led, non-partisan, non-profit, and human rights organization dedicated to transforming the lives of women, persons with disabilities (PWD), and girls. LAWEN focuses on uplifting the women of Lamu County by fostering economic independence, promoting education, and advocating for gender equality. We believe in empowering women, PWD, and girls to become leaders and change-makers in their communities.
